What a refreshing historical romance! I loved the ‘working woman’ & I want to be a rake but its not me vibes ! Childhood friends turned lovers is always enjoyable as you get that background to help you truly understand the characters. There were sensitive and sad moments with the storyline’s but well balanced against the rest of the plot. I’m curious to know more about the rest of the inhabitants on Honeysuckle Street.

Fleur’s writing is beautiful and lyrical, and wonderfully spicy. I devoured it in two sittings!

This is my first time reading Fleur’s work but I doubt it will be the last - I really enjoyed her style of writing, characterisation and description.
